To succeed in this role you will have good time management skills, good writing skills, strong organizational skills and prior Human Services experience. A bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field is preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience as a recipient of services for people with psychiatric conditions required; must be well along in own personal recovery (self-knowledge and habits needed to support one’s own health). Two to three years’ lived experience with co-occurring disorders in addition to psychiatric conditions preferred. Experience working with people with psychiatric disability co-occurring disorders preferred. Access to an operational and insured vehicle and willingness to use it to transport clients preferred. Preference given to bi-lingual/bi-cultural applicants.
All candidates for this position must be at least 21 years of age and have held a valid US drivers license for a minimum of one year and be able to satisfactorily pass a driving check.
Additionally, this position requires a fully insured vehicle that you will use in the course of your daily work. You must be willing to transport clients in your vehicle. All candidates for this position must also be able to successfully pass a CORI check. All applicants must be able to become CPR and First Aid certified within two weeks of employment and MAP certified within 150 days of employment.

We are looking for compassionate, caring, dynamic staff to provide outreach services to clients living with psychiatric conditions in Somerville. Working as part of a Collaborative Action for Recovery (CAR)team, Recovery Coordinators provide comprehensive rehabilitative case management to adults receiving services under the Department of Mental Health’s Community Based Flexible Supports(CBFS) model.
These are fast paced, community based positions geared toward helping clients engage in the recovery process and become a part of their community. Using a motivational interviewing and strengths based rehabilitation approach, Recovery Coordinators engage with clients and help them evaluate their current life circumstances compared to their hopes, dreams and plans for the future. Recovery Coordinators provide education and support to help clients gain the confidence, skills and resources needed to succeed in self-determined goals.
